The Ball came back, and brought more.
The second Ball returned to CommBank Stadium with an expanded sponsor program, more guests and dedicated focus on the C5A cancer-care community at Westmead.

The first Bloody Cells Ball.
Put on with blind faith by the inaugural BCB committee — built around Pauline Fallance’s acute myeloid leukaemia treatment at Westmead. The first Ball raised $150,000 for Westmead Hospital Foundation and the Leukaemia Foundation, and set the tone for everything that followed.
