Put on with blind faith by the inaugural BCB committee — built around Pauline Fallance’s acute myeloid leukaemia treatment at Westmead. The first Ball raised $150,000 for Westmead Hospital Foundation and the Leukaemia Foundation, and set the tone for everything that followed.
